A delicious and aromatic dish made with marinated chicken cooked in a spiced tomato sauce.

- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into cubes
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons garam masala
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato puree
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, cumin, paprika, turmeric, and salt. Add chicken and marinate for at least 1 hour.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add garlic and ginger, cooking for another minute until fragrant.
- Add the marinated chicken and cook until browned on all sides.
- Stir in tomato puree and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Pour in heavy cream and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with rice or naan.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add chili powder to the marinade.
- Letting the chicken marinate overnight enhances the flavor.
- Serve with basmati rice or naan for a complete meal.
