Description

Learn how to make the perfect Chicken Parmesan with a golden, crispy coating and delicious marinara sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in the egg, and then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and fry the chicken until golden brown on both sides.
  6. Transfer the fried chicken to a baking dish, top each piece with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Serve hot with pasta or a side salad.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add Italian herbs to the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving to retain moisture.
