Description

Delightful roasted cauliflower steaks topped with melted cheese, perfect as a main dish or side.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large head of cauliflower
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the cauliflower into thick steaks (about 1 inch).
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Brush both sides of the cauliflower steaks with olive oil.
  5. Coat the steaks in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  6. Place the coated cauliflower steaks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  8. In the last 5 minutes of baking, sprinkle shredded cheese on top of the steaks and return to the oven to melt.
  9. Serve hot as a main dish or side.

Notes

Store uneaten steaks in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
