Description

A creamy and rich mac and cheese dish that requires no boiling, making it a perfect comfort food for busy families and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter for greasing the baking dish


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Combine in a large bowl the uncooked macaroni, 3 cups of the cheddar cheese, milk, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese on top.
  6. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For added texture, consider topping with breadcrumbs before baking.
