- 1 pound elbow macaroni
- 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Butter for greasing the baking dish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Combine in a large bowl the uncooked macaroni, 3 cups of the cheddar cheese, milk, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese on top.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For added texture, consider topping with breadcrumbs before baking.
