Deliciously spiced chai cinnamon rolls that are perfect for a cozy morning treat.
Ingredients

- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 2 eggs
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup raisins (optional)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and spices.
- Add melted butter, eggs, and the yeast mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread brown sugar and raisins on top.
- Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a glaze made of powdered sugar and milk on top.
- These rolls can be made ahead and frozen before baking.
