These delightful Carnival Buns combine a soft, rich dough with a creamy strawberry cheesecake filling, perfect for creating joyful memories.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 egg
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, diced
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract


Instructions

  1. Mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Heat milk, water, and butter until warm.
  3. Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients and add egg.
  4. Knead the dough until smooth and let it rise for 60 minutes.
  5. Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, strawberries, and vanilla in a bowl for the filling.
  6. Roll out dough, cut into squares, and place filling inside.
  7. Pinch to seal the edges of the buns.
  8. Place buns on a baking sheet and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden.
  10. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
