- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 cup rice, uncooked
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the chopped cabbage and cook for about 5 minutes until it begins to wilt.
- Add the diced tomatoes, beef broth, rice, tomato paste, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for 30-40 minutes, or until the rice is tender.
- Adjust seasoning as needed and serve hot.
Notes
- For a vegetarian version, substitute ground beef with lentils or mushrooms.
- Feel free to add other vegetables like carrots or bell peppers for extra flavor.
