- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg

- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, until a dough forms.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into desired shapes.
- Place the cutouts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Fill half of the cutouts with a spoonful of brown sugar filling, then top with another cutout and seal the edges.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool before serving.
