Brown Butter Rice Krispie Treats

Description

A delicious twist on the classic Rice Krispie treats, enhanced with the rich flavor of brown butter.


Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 package (10 oz) mini marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, stirring constantly until it turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma.
  2. Add the mini marshmallows and salt to the browned butter, stirring until melted and smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and quickly stir in the Rice Krispies cereal until well coated.
  4. Press the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch pan, using a spatula or your hands.
  5. Let cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a splash of vanilla extract.
  • Store in an airtight container to keep them fresh.
