- 8 oz pasta of choice
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- In the last 3 minutes of cooking, add the broccoli florets to the pasta pot.
- In a separate pan, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper to the garlic oil.
- Drain the pasta and broccoli, then return them to the pot.
- Pour the garlic oil over the pasta and broccoli, tossing to combine.
- Serve with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
- For a vegan option, omit the Parmesan cheese.
- Feel free to add other vegetables like cherry tomatoes or spinach.
- This dish can be served warm or cold as a pasta salad.
