Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh oregano, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 whole wheat burger buns
  • 1 cup spinach leaves
  • 1/2 cucumber, sliced
  • 1/2 cup tzatziki sauce

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, feta cheese, breadcrumbs, red onion, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix until well combined and form into patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through.
  5. Toast the burger buns lightly on the skillet.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on each bun, topped with spinach, cucumber slices, and tzatziki sauce.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • For added flavor, marinate the chicken mixture for an hour before cooking.
  • These burgers can also be grilled for a smoky flavor.
  • Serve with a side of Greek salad for a complete meal.
