Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of brisket
  • 1 cup of BBQ sauce
  • 8 slices of provolone cheese
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Season the brisket with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sear the brisket on all sides until browned.
  4. Transfer the brisket to a slow cooker and pour BBQ sauce over it.
  5. Cook on low for 8 hours or until the brisket is tender.
  6. Once cooked, shred the brisket and mix it with the BBQ sauce.
  7. Place the shredded brisket on hoagie rolls and top with provolone cheese.
  8. Place the sandwiches in the oven for 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted.
