Ingredients

  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat; drain excess fat.
  4. Add marinara sauce and Italian seasoning to the beef; stir to combine.
  5. In a large bowl, mix the cooked ziti, ricotta cheese, and half of the mozzarella cheese.
  6. Layer half of the ziti mixture in a baking dish, followed by half of the meat sauce, and then half of the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining ziti mixture, meat sauce, and mozzarella cheese.
  8. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
