- 1 pound ziti pasta
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat; drain excess fat.
- Add marinara sauce and Italian seasoning to the beef; stir to combine.
- In a large bowl, mix the cooked ziti, ricotta cheese, and half of the mozzarella cheese.
- Layer half of the ziti mixture in a baking dish, followed by half of the meat sauce, and then half of the remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ziti mixture, meat sauce, and mozzarella cheese.
- Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, substitute ground beef with sautéed vegetables.
- Feel free to add extra spices or herbs to enhance the flavor.
