- 10 oz Small flour tortillas
- 8 oz White cream cheese (softened)
- 2 cups Shredded cooked chicken breast
- 2 tbsp Cooking oil (for brushing)
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Kosher salt
- 2 tbsp Fresh green cilantro (finely chopped)
- 0.5 tsp Red paprika (for dusting)
- 1 medium Ripe avocado
- 0.25 cup Sour cream
- 1 tbsp Lime juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare a baking sheet by greasing it lightly with cooking spray or oil.
- Combine the softened cream cheese, shredded chicken, garlic powder, and kosher salt in a mixing bowl. Stir until well blended into a creamy filling.
- Take a tortilla, spoon about 2 tablespoons of the filling mixture onto the center, and roll tightly, folding in the sides.
- Place seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet and repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.
- Brush the tops of the taquitos with cooking oil and sprinkle with red paprika.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
- Mash the avocado and mix with sour cream and lime juice for dipping.
Notes
Serve these taquitos with a side of guacamole for an extra treat. They can also be frozen before baking for a quick meal later.
