Instructions

  3. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just mixed.
  4. Fold in the diced apples.

  6. Pour the batter into the waffle iron and cook until golden brown.
  7. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot for frying.
  8. Once the waffles are cooked, cut them into donut shapes and fry until golden.
  9. Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
