Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into patties.
- In a skillet, brown the patties on both sides over medium heat.
- In a separate bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup and beef broth until smooth.
- Place the browned patties in a baking dish and pour the soup mixture over them.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
- Serve over mashed potatoes and top with shredded cheese if desired.
Notes
- Feel free to add your favorite vegetables to the dish.
